The next morning, Jonah and I walked into the headquarters of Vance Global Logistics alongside a team of forensic accountants and state prosecutors.

His cousin, Julian, sat at the head of the executive boardroom table, sipping coffee, completely unaware that Jonah’s conviction had been overturned forty-eight hours earlier.

“Jonah?” Julian gasped, dropping his cup as the door slammed open. “What are you doing here?! You’re supposed to be—”

“In prison?” Jonah finished, sliding the black box contents across the long conference table. “The conviction was overturned, Julian. And the real audit starts today.”

I stepped forward, laying my certified birth records and the majority stock ledger directly on top of his desk.

“As the primary beneficiary of the Vance Estate holding 40% of voting shares,” I said, my voice steady and unwavering, “I am exercising my right to freeze all corporate accounts and initiate immediate criminal proceedings for embezzlement and forgery against you.”

Federal officers stepped into the room, holding warrants for Julian’s immediate arrest.
