Tooth enamel is the hard, protective outer layer of your teeth. Beneath it lies dentin, a naturally yellowish tissue. Once enamel erodes, it cannot regenerate, leaving the darker yellow dentin permanently exposed and making teeth far more sensitive and prone to decay.
